When you are trying to create or use a Master Slide Style, and wish to use a monitor size other than what you have available, select the other monitor size in the pre-creation dialog for presentations.

When you select Master Slide Styles from the View menu, you will see and be able to use saved styles, even if they are not supported by your current hardware setup.
