    What to check for if your application crashes when you launch from a server machine
    This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.

DISCUSSION

    Launching a server-based application may result in a crash at the point of the splash screen display, if the workstation is running a 68040 microprocessor. Apple Computer is aware of the issue, and is distributing a system extension named Network Launch Fix, version 1.0.2, that corrects the issue. Note that this issue only applies to 68040 computers.
