DISCUSSION When using the text-to-bezigons feature you may encounter an error when converting a PostScript Type 1 font. The message will say that Adobe Type Manager (ATM) returned an error (id=xx), where xx is the error code. Here are the codes, and what they mean: -1 [ATM_NO_VALID_FONT]: Cannot find proper outline font. If you receive this error code, more than likely it is because you attempted to convert text in a style such as shadow, outline, bold, etc., when that PostScript font was not installed. You may have the plain style or other styles, but ATM can only convert styles when you have the exact PostScript version installed. -2 [ATM_CANTHAPPEN]: ATM had an internal error. You should probably reinstall Adobe Type Manager and the font in question, restart, and try converting again. If you still cannot convert text to bezigons, try to contact Adobe and see if they have any suggestions or ask Claris Technical Support for further help. -4 [ATM_MEMORY]: ATM ran out of memory while converting text to bezigons. -6 [ATM_NOT_ON]: ATM is installed but it is currently turned off. You should switch ATM on in the ATM Control Panel. -9 [ATM_NO_CHAR]: There is no Outline font for one of the characters in your text block. Wherever the conversion ended is the last character that successfully converted. You should try choosing Undo, changing the next character after the end of conversion to a different font, then try Convert to Bezigons again. |
