Information from Global Village Communications about updating software for your modem if you own a Performa.
The following information comes direct from Global Village Communications:
If you have a Macintosh Performa 580CD, 631CD, 640CD, 5200CD or 6116CD computer and want to use the included modem, you should update the GlobalFax software that was installed on your hard drive. You can do this by using the application called "Performa GlobalFax 2.5.2 Update." The update is available from the Global Village BBS.
The Updater application will update a copy of version 2.5.2P of the Global Village Toolbox extension to version 2.5.2P1. This Updater application automatically checks for the proper software, so it will not affect any version of the software that doesn't need the update.
You should keep the update application. If you ever reinstall your GlobalFax 2.5.2P software from your CD, you will need to run the updater again.
