If you can only download a limited number of messages check if you have an APS hard drive. If you have initialized the drive with a driver earlier than the APS 4.0 version, you will have to reinitialize the hard drive with the version 4.0 driver. Just updating as opposed to reinitializing doesn't fix the issue.
