    The Macintosh Server G3 offers powerful network services and administrative tools running on a fast PowerPC G3 processor. With plenty of RAM, high-capacity hard disks, FireWire and Universal Serial Bus (USB) ports for connecting peripherals, and preinstalled sof tware, the Macintosh Server G3 is ready to work right out of the box.

    AppleShare IP software features integrated file, print, mail, and web services. Version 6.1 is faster, more secure, and more versatile than ever. Native support for both Macintosh and Windows clients means that all your users can access its services seamlessly. Apple Network Assistant 3.5 software has the tools you need to provide user assistance, check system profiles, reconfigure system settings, and distribute applications-all from a central location, over both TCP/IP and AppleTalk networks. You also get SoftRAID software, which lets you stripe or mirror multiple hard disk volumes for maximum performance or data security.

    *Based on performance tests conducted by Apple. Large (185MB) files were copied over 100-Mbps Ethernet from a 300-MHz Power Macintosh G3 client to two servers: a 400-MHz Macintosh Server G3 running AppleShare IP 6.1 and a 450-MHz Pentium II-based server running Windows NT Server 4.0.
