Using an older AppleVision or Apple Studio display that required ADB for certain features is not directly supported on newer Power Macintosh and PowerBook computers that lack an ADB port. This article provides further information on using older ADB based displays on newer computers such as the PowerBook (FireWire) or the Power Mac G4.
DISCUSSION While not explicitly supported, displays that require ADB can function provided the appropriate video card or port is available. However, certain features that rely on ADB, such as ColorSync and on-screen geometry adjustments, do not. There are ADB to USB adapters available that may return the ColorSync and on-screen geometry adjustment functionality.
