    Since there is no built-in microphone on iBook, how can I record additional beep sounds or use other voice activated software?

DISCUSSION

    The only method for connecting a microphone to iBook is via USB. USB microphones are currently in development by third party developers. Check the Apple Products Guide at http://www.apple.com/usb to search for USB microphones or other USB devices.
