When I try to dial into my America Online (AOL) account through the AirPort Base Station it does not connect. Why can I not connect to AOL?

The AirPort Base Station supports dial-up connectivity to the Internet using the industry standard PPP connection method. AOL, up through and including version 5.0, does not currently support this connection method; therefore, AOL is not compatible with the AirPort Base Station.

AOL does have a method to utilize its services by first connecting to a standard PPP-based Internet service provider (ISP). Contact AOL for additional information.
