    There is an issue that occurs when capturing clips with Final Cut Pro 1.2.1 and Mac OS 8.6 with QuickTime 4.1 (or later). After capture, there will be an audio blast at the end of the captured clip. This article describes how to resolve this behavior.


DISCUSSION

    When capturing clips with Final Cut Pro 1.2.1 and Mac OS 8.6 with QuickTime 4.1 (or later), an audio blast will occur at the end of the clip. To resolve this behavior, use one of these two possible workarounds:


    Note: In order to install QuickTime 4.0.3 over QuickTime 4.1 or later, you must follow these steps:

      1. Remove all QuickTime extensions and control panels from their respective folders.

      2. Restart the computer.

      3. After restarting, install QuickTime 4.0.3.
