    This article describes the type of memory (RAM) that should be used in a iMac (Summer 2000) computer.


DISCUSSION

    The iMac (Summer 2000) computer uses 168-pin PC-100 memory modules up to 512 MB in size, enabling up to 1 GB of total memory.

    Memory modules for the iMac (Summer 2000) computer should have these specifications:

    • 3.3 V
    • unbuffered
    • 8-byte
    • non-parity
    • PC-100 compliant

    Note: 144-pin SO-DIMMs from previous iMac computers cannot be used in the iMac (Summer 2000) computer.
