    Double-clicking documents that have file extensions, but don't have type and creator data, sometimes opens the wrong application.


DISCUSSION

    Symptom

    Double-clicking a document does not open the application used to create the document.

    Solution

      1. Click the document's icon to select it.

      2. Choose Inspector from the File menu.

      3. Use Application from the pop-up menu.

      4. Click the radio button to select the "A specific application" option.

      5. Choose the icon of the application you want to use from the pop-up menu.
