TOPIC After connecting to a server that uses Apple File Protocol (AFP), such as AppleShare IP, and then accessing certain other file systems, subsequent attempts to connect to an AFP server fail. DISCUSSION Symptom The following alert appears when attempting to connect to an AFP server: "Can't mount volume Volume Name. An AppleShare system error occurred." This issue occurs after accessing an audio CD, or connecting to UFS or WebDAV servers. Solution Connect to all other file systems before connecting to an AFP server. Once this error occurs, you must restart the computer to connect to an AFP server. |
