The computer may not recognize a newly inserted audio CD if you have been using Mac OS X Public Beta for a prolonged period of time.

Symptom

You insert an audio CD, but it does not appear on the desktop, the Finder doesn't show it, and the Music Player application doesn't recognize that it's been inserted. In addition, you can't eject the CD because it is spinning in the drive. You find that these errors happen when you have been using Mac OS X Public Beta for a prolonged period of time.
