Symptom
Note: This issue is distinct and separate from the random activation of the Power Mac G4 Cube power button, described in article 88044: " Power Mac G4 Cube: Random Activation of the Power Button ". Products affected Solution If your computer is experiencing any of the above symptoms, try the following steps:
2. Check the setting in the Energy Saver control panel. The computer may be in sleep mode according to these settings. 3. Verify the display cable is plugged securely into the Power Mac G4 Cube or Power Mac G4 (Gigabit Ethernet) computer. 4. Verify that the computer power cord and/or power supply (Power Mac G4 Cube) are plugged securely into the wall socket. 5. Make sure nothing is touching the monitor in the area of either button. 6. Make sure electrical devices such as phones, lighting, computers, other displays, fans, and so forth are at least 1 meter away from the display. If the symptoms disappear, keep the device you moved clear of the display. 7. If the symptoms persist, contact Apple support for further instructions. |
