Mac OS X Server requires that you restart the computer after making changes to any of the network settings.
DISCUSSION There may be times when Mac OS X Server does not automatically restart, or prompt you to restart the computer when you make a change. However, any time there is a change to the network configuration, the computer must be restarted for the change to take effect. |
