    Apple File Services is an Apple File Protocol 2.2 (AFP)-compliant server. Apple File Services fully supports version 2.2 of the AFP specification (the same as AppleShare IP 5.x and later).


DISCUSSION

    Apple File Servers has the following features:
    • Optimized for use with AppleShare 3.8.2 client.
    • Supports AFP over TCP/IP and AppleTalk.
    • Provides high performance and scalability.
    • Supports Mac OS Extended Format (HFS+) volumes
    • Supports volumes sizes up to 2 terabytes
    • Enforces AFP access privileges.
