TOPIC
Mounting Linux NFS Volumes Issues:
DISCUSSION
To solve this issue: While this solution causes a small reduction in security, you don't need to repeat this step every time you add or reinstall a Mac OS X Server client. Note : If you cannot change the Linux server, you can work around the issue by opening Terminal on your Mac OS X Server computer and using a mount command with a "-P" options flag (for example, mount -o"-P") to mount the Linux volume. However, you must do this each time you add or reinstall a Mac OS X Server as a client to the server. Because NetworkManager doesn't support the "-P" option flag, you must add the option to the NetInfo /mounts entry if you want to use NetworkManager to mount the volume. |
