    The computer begins to start up, then won't respond.

DISCUSSION

    Mac OS X Server may be looking for a NetInfo server.
      1. Disconnect the computer's Ethernet connection.
      2. When asked if you want to continue in non-network mode, enter Y.
      3. Log in as Administrator.
      4. Open the Apple menu and choose Computer Settings, then choose Network.
      5. In the NetInfo panel, make sure "Connect to parent NetInfo server at startup" is not selected.
