Try these solutions:
-
Make sure the server is turned on.
-
Check that one end of the Ethernet cable is plugged into the Ethernet port on the computer and the other end is plugged into a working Ethernet connector.
-
Make sure the hard disk is working properly.
-
Check AppleTalk and TCP/IP configurations. See if the system can access AppleTalk devices or IP services on the network.
-
Make sure the appropriate server processes are running.
-
Restart the server.
-
Use ProcessViewer to see what's working.
-
If you've exhausted all solutions, you may need to reinstall Mac OS X Server or NetBoot server software. If you reinstall server software you will lose documents and data. If you have backed up your server, you can restore the data you backed up.
