TOPIC I have Mac OS X Server and the WebObjects Developer CD included in the package is labeled "For Windows NT." What version of WebObjects is on the disc? DISCUSSION The WebObjects Developer CD included in the Mac OS X Server bundle is incorrectly labeled. The disc reads "For Windows NT," but the software on the disc is actually for the Mac OS X Server platform. There is a label on the disc's sleeve that points out this inaccuracy, but if the disc becomes separated from the sleeve there are two other ways to distinguish the Mac OS X Server CD from the Windows NT CD. Both discs include a version number and part number just below the words "For Windows NT" but the version and part numbers differ:
Although the Mac OS X Server version of the software will install on Windows NT, entering the Mac OS X Server key results in a error message: "Invalid serial number for this platform." |
