TOPIC
You can adjust the options in effect when a video clip or sequence is rendered.
All render qualities are stored independently. If you switch render qualities, you don't lose files rendered at the previous quality, but you must render the files at the new quality as well.
DISCUSSION
To adjust the render quality options:
1. Open the Sequence menu and choose Render Quality, then choose Edit Render Qualities from the submenu.
2. Click each tab and adjust the settings you want to change.
Render quality options include:
-
Quality Name: the name of the current quality level settings. The name can be edited and it appears on the Render Quality pop-up menu for the current project in the Timeline.
-
Draft Render: applies to third-party filters for Adobe AfterEffects
-
Field Rendering: when off, motion may appear to be rougher. Applies only to sequences that have a resolution of 640 x 480 or larger.
-
Motion Blur: includes motion blur for this render quality on clips that have it applied
-
Include Filters: renders all filters in the sequence
-
Enable Frame Blending: works with clips that have speed effects applied, when the Frame Blending option is turned on
-
Play Base Layer Only: plays the lowest video track used. Cuts are substituted for non-rendered or non-real-time transitions. Audio tracks in excess of the real-time capability do not play.
-
High Quality Playback (slower): uses DV high-quality mode for playback. Individual frames (when play is paused) always appear at high-quality.
-
Frame Rate: sets the frame rate for the render quality setting as a percentage of the Sequence Editing Timebase.
-
Resolution: sets the frame size for the render quality setting as a percentage of the resolution set for the sequence.
-
Advanced Options: overrides some of the sequence settings for the render quality set. Click the triangle to see the advanced options.
-
Save as Default Set: these settings will be automatically used with new projects
-
Reset: loads the saved render quality settings
