TOPIC

If you've trimmed a sequence or moved the source media used in a project or sequence, you can relink the offline files to the media on disk using the Relink Media command.

DISCUSSION

    To relink an offline file:
      1. In the Browser, select the item you want to relink.
      2. Open the File menu and choose Relink Media.
      3. Select the offline file you want to relink, and select the options you want.

    The relinking options are:
    • Show pop-up menu: contains file types
    • "Show Only Files that Match Name"
    • "Relink All Files in this Path"
    • Skip: do not relink the selected file

Note : You must relink each instance of a clip. This means that if a clip is used in a sequence, you must select the sequence to relink that instance of the clip, as well as relinking the clip in the Browser.
