This article comprises the Read Me for Apple Network Assistant version 3.5.1 (Z). This software was released by Apple 10 May 1999 and is available for downloading from the Apple Software Updates Web site. Use the following URL to access the download directly:

This Z (International English) version of the Apple Network Assistant 3.5.1 application file is being made available to European customers who cannot update to Apple Network Assistant v3.5.2. European customers may have purchased the Z (International English) version of Network Assistant 3.5 individually or bundled with a Macintosh Server G3 computer. The Apple Network Assistant 3.5 CD-ROM shipped in Europe did not include a version of this application file that can be updated.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This does not affect US/Canada customers who purchased this product or customers who purchased language localized versions of this product including French, German, and Japanese.
DISCUSSION
Important Information About Apple Network Assistant 3.5.1(Z) Application File
European customers may have found that the Apple Network Assistant Updater v3.5.2 will update all files except the Network Assistant application file. After completing the update, customers may have found that launching Network Assistant will crash their systems.
This Apple Network Assistant 3.5.1(Z) application file will resolve this problem.
To properly update to Network Assistant 3.5.2, European customers will need to do the following:
1. Download "Network Assistant 3.5.1(Z) Application File" and "Network Assistant 3.5.2 Updater"from Apple's Support website
2. Drag to the Trash the current Network Assistant application from the Network Assistant folder on your startup disk.
3. Open the "Z-ANA3.5.1App.smi.bin" file
4. Drag the Network Assistant application from this mounted image into the Network Assistant folder on your startup disk.
5. Open the Network Assistant 3.5.2 Updater image file.
6. Launch the Network Assistant 3.5.2 Updater from this mounted image and Update the Network Assistant application file. You may choose to Skip updating the other files if previously done.
7. Restart your computer.
