Tips Addressing Known Issues Still image aspect ratio compensation Still images or graphics with the same aspect ratio as a non-square pixel sequence such as DV (720x480) or Targa (720x486) are no longer modified by the Distort-Aspect Ratio parameter in the Motion tab when they are edited into the sequence. Still images or graphics in a square pixel frame size other than 720x480 or 720x486 will automatically be scaled to fit the aspect ratio of the DV or Targa non-square sequences by the Distort-Aspect Ratio parameter in the Motion tab. Clip settings for audio format The default setting for capturing audio is Ch1+Ch2. This mode, along with Ch 1 (L) or Ch 2 (R) pans the channel(s) in the center and raises the overall output gain when playing or doing an edit to tape. If audio levels are already close to maximum when capturing stereo or mono clips, choose the appropriate audio capture setting (stereo or mono) to prevent any added gain, which can result in clipping or unwanted compression artifacts when playing through a capture device or doing an edit to tape or print to video.
