    When Apple System Profiler scans my computer's Universal Serial Bus, it reports that a "M4848" device is connected. I don't have a device named "M4848" connected.

DISCUSSION

    The M4848 device is an Apple USB Mouse. Apple System Profiler sometimes identifies a mouse by its Apple part number instead of its name. Not all Apple mouse devices are identified this way. Some are reported as "Apple USB Mouse." This is nothing to worry about.
