This article explains how to use Mac Help to learn more about Mac OS X.
DISCUSSION Mac Help has the answers to your questions about using Mac OS X. It includes information about changing settings, using the included applications (such as Mail, Preview, Print Center, and so forth), and troubleshooting. Because much of Mac Help is updated using the Internet, you'll always get the most up-to-date information. Follow these steps:
2. In the Help Center, click Mac Help. 3. Type in some words, a phrase, or a question that describes what you want to know. 4. Click Ask to see the topics that most closely match what you entered. 5. Click a topic to view the information. Tips The Help Viewer uses Sherlock technology to search for possible answers to your questions. If you don't see the answer you want, try using different words to describe what you're looking for. Use the "Quick Clicks" to find answers to the most common questions. Once you've read a topic, if it has a "Tell Me More" link you can use it to see more topics that are related to what you're asking about. Many topics in Mac Help are stored on the Internet. That is, when you choose a topic to view, your computer will connect to the Internet and retrieve the latest version of the information you want. Then, it keeps the topic on your hard disk so you can view it again later, for three days, without having to connect again. |
