TOPIC

This article explains how to keep all your files in your Documents folder.

DISCUSSION

In Mac OS X Public Beta, all of the files you create are stored in a Documents folder. However, the Classic Compatibility Environment uses Mac OS 9, which does not store files you create in your Documents folder by default. Follow these steps to store files you create in the Classic Compatibility Environment in your Mac OS X Public Beta Documents folder:

      1. In an Open or Save dialog box, click Desktop to see the Mac OS X disk.
      2. Double-click Mac OS X to open it.
      3. Double-click the Users folder
      4. Double-click the folder that has the same name as your user name.
      5. Double-click the Documents folder.
      6. Save or open a file.
