    This article explains how to turn on AppleTalk, which is turned off by default, in Mac OS X Public Beta.

DISCUSSION

    To turn on AppleTalk:

      1. Choose System Preferences from the Desktop menu.
      2. Click Network.
      3. Click the AppleTalk tab.
      4. Enter a computer name.
      5. Click the checkbox to enable the AppleTalk Active option.
      6. Quit System Preferences.
      7. Restart the computer.
