DISCUSSION

    Symptom

When watching a movie from a DVD-Video disc there are black bars at the top and bottom of the screen even though Fill Screen or Present Video on Screen is selected in the Video menu.

    Products affected
    • Apple DVD Player

    Solution

This is normal due to differences in the monitor's aspect ratio, and the movie's aspect ratio. You do not need to change or correct anything.
