System extensions installed with Terran's Cleaner 5 application may interfere with video capture, playback, and YUV processing in Final Cut Pro.

Symptom

These symptoms may occur in Final Cut Pro 2.0 after you install Cleaner 5:

• Slow, choppy capture
• Fields seem to be reversed in capture and playback
• Unexpected frame dropping
• Unwanted brightness shifting

Products affected

• Final Cut Pro 2.0
• Terran's Cleaner 5

Solution

Use the Extensions Manager control panel to turn off these extensions when you use Final Cut Pro:

• RadDVCodec
• RadDVDecoder

You can turn them back on when you use Cleaner 5.
