TOPIC

On Macintosh systems with third-party internal SCSI hard drive, does the drive need to provide termination power, or does the Macintosh supply this power?

DISCUSSION

The Macintosh Plus, Macintosh Portable, and some Macintosh PowerBook computers do not provide SCSI termination power. All other Macintosh computers with SCSI drives provide internal termination power. Macintosh computers which utilize an IDE-style hard drive do not supply termination power.
