    This document discusses a device driver for the NeXTSTEP operating system, version 3.3. This driver will not work with any version of OPENSTEP.

    Special Features of Driver / Driver Notes:
    The RAMDAC used in this system supports a Color Palette only in 8 bit modes. This results in the brightness slider in Preferences, as well as automatic screen dimming, only working if an 8 bit mode is selected.

    Access Mode: Linear Framebuffer
    Adapter Memory: 1MB DRAM, 2MB DRAM

    Known Problems

    SoftPC will generate an illegal instruction error when switching to full screen mode.
