    This document discusses a device driver for the NeXTSTEP operating system, version 3.3. This driver will not work with any version of OPENSTEP.

    General Overview notes: This new graphics driver is designed to support the on-board Chips and Technologies Wingine graphics controller on the Canon object.station 41. The graphics subsystem of the object.station 41 was custom designed to operate with NEXTSTEP. The system uses a RAMDAC design modified to support NEXTSTEP's 4-4-4 internal 16bit color representation for improved graphics performance. This design includes 2MB VRAM and supports a variety of high resolution and high color (32bit) modes.

    1024x768 (2MB+), 1120x832 (2MB+), 1152x900 (2MB+), 800x600 (1MB+)

    8 Bit Color / Greyscale Modes**:
    1024x768 (1MB+), 1120x832 (1MB+), 1152x900 (1MB+), 1280x1024 (2MB+)

    Known Problems

    1024x768x72Hz 16-bit color mode is unstable on some Object.station computers.
