    General Overview notes: This driver provides PCMCIA Bus Services to the NEXTSTEP Operating System, PCMCIA Device Drivers, and to Configure. NEXTSTEP requires this driver if the system contains a PCMCIA slot

    Known Problems

    This driver does not support hot swapping of PCMCIA devices. In particular, attempting to hot swap the Adaptec SlimSCSI PCMCIA adapter can hang your machine.

    Driver Version Notes

    3.30 - Released on NEXTSTEP 3.3 User CD-ROM
    3.31 - Fixed several bugs. Added support for cards needing shared memory.
    3.33 - Added Auto-Detect logic; improved boot messages.
    3.34 - Added support for level irqs required by EtherLink III adapter
    4.00 - Released on OPENSTEP 4.0 User CD-ROM
    4.02 (&3.35) - Audio is now enabled on a per-card basis. Verion 4.02 (& v3.35) enables Audio for any PCMCIA device that includes "Enable Audio" = "Yes"; in its Instance.table. For example: To enable Modem audio, add this key to the Serial Port Instance.table that corresponds to the Modem.
