DISCUSSION LocalTalk is cabling used to transmit AppleTalk information between Macintosh computers and printers and other network devices. Its maximum transfer rate is 230.4 KBits per second over a twisted pair wire. EtherTalk is another protocol that uses either twisted pair or a coax type of cabling to run at up to 10 Megabits per second. |
