    This article explains why some files may be moved after applying the AppleWorks 6.1 update, and where to find these files.

DISCUSSION

    Symptom

    After installing the AppleWorks 6.1 or 6.1.2 update, the contents of the Recent Items tab from AppleWorks 6.0.4 are moved to a Disabled Items folder in the Starting Points Folder.

    Solution

    These items were moved here for better compatibility with multi-user systems such as Mac OS X, Mac OS 9's Multiple Users, or Macintosh Manager. The new location for Recent Items is in your Documents folder in AppleWorks User Data:Starting Points:Recent Items. If you wish to retain these earlier items, you can copy them from the Disabled Items folder to the new location.
