TOPIC

The video display on the Power Mac G4 is distorted.

DISCUSSION

      1. To avoid "No video" or "Black screen" situations, do not use two VGA-to-Macintosh adapters (one on each end) on the video cable that connects a Power Mac G4 computer to a monitor with a captive VGA connector.

      2. If you need to connect a VGA monitor, connect it in one of the following ways:
      - VGA monitor: to a VGA cable with VGA connectors on both ends: to the video card on the Power Mac G4
      - VGA monitor: to a mixed cable, a cable that has a VGA connector on one end and a Macintosh connector on the other end: to the video card on the Power Mac G4
