TOPIC
If you attempt to send a break signal to a remote host with the Macintosh PowerBook Fax/Data Modem, it won't pass the break signal to the host. Instead, it causes the modem to go back to command state.
DISCUSSION Unfortunately, any attempt to transmit a break signal with the Macintosh PowerBook Fax/Data Modem always results in the modem going into command state. It won't send the break signal to the host. Many modems allow you to change break handling so you can determine whether the modem enters command state or simply passes the break signal. The PowerBook Fax/Data Modem doesn't do this. |
