    Apple Support has found that some modifications to the default CONFIG.SYS

    file can significantly improve the performance of OneScanner for Windows on

    some machines.

DISCUSSION



    The default settings for FILES and BUFFERS are too low for optimum

    performance with Ofoto.



    Here is a sample file:



    FILES=40

    BUFFERS=30

    DEVICE=C:\DOS\HIMEM.SYS

    DEVICE=C:\DOS\SETVER.EXE

    rem DEVICE=C:\DOS\EMM386.EXE 6496

    DEVICE=C:\DOS\SMARTDRV.SYS 4096 1024

    DOS=HIGH



    DEVICE=C:\OFOTO\ASPI2DOS.SYS /Z /U-
