TOPIC

How does the Newton OS Undo function work?

DISCUSSION

You can Undo your last two actions if you were writing any item or performing a function, such as Delete or Duplicate. You cannot Undo more than your last two actions.

If you tap the Undo button once, you reverse the last action you made. Tapping twice will reverse the last two actions. If Newton cannot Undo your action, you will have to cut and paste or otherwise re-enter your data to restore or correct it.

The Newton OS will notify you when you attempt to Undo something that cannot be undone. Some examples are:
    • You cannot use Undo to close from an application you have opened. If you accidentally open an application, you must hit the X button in the lower-left corner or the screen.
    • You cannot use Undo to close a window that Newton OS has opened for you if you change your mind.
    • You also cannot Undo to undo a Restore.
