MacDraw Pro 1.5 is the high-speed upgrade of the best- selling Macintosh graphics software for designing, illustrating, publishing and presenting.

MacDraw Pro 1.5 offers full System 7 support - including QuickTime - and performance improvements making it faster than version 1.0. MacDraw Pro continues to offer superior color support, unparalleled file exchange capabilities and complete content control.

New Features of MacDraw Pro 1.5:

    - Text entry and redraw is up to 4 times faster, using improved algorithms which improve speed without accuracy loss.
    - Text printing is two to five times faster (especially non- PostScript).
    - Improved Fast Gradient display is up to five times faster than Best Quality display, with smoother visual representation.
    - Launch time is reduced, and pop-up palettes are pre- drawn on program launch for better program "feel" and responsiveness.
    - Other optimized functions including drawing, scrolling, rotating, and selection now 20% to 200% faster.

    New RAM-scalable performance
    - Open more documents with less memory.
    - Use all available colors without memory restrictions (4MB no longer required for millions of colors).
    - Speed redraw and scrolling performance by allocating additional RAM.

Full System 7 support ... and more
    - Complete Publish & Subscribe support includes the ability to publish objects on a specific layer or across layers.
    - QuickTime movies act as other objects and may be incorporated into drawings or presentations.
    - Apple events allow MacDraw Pro to be "driven" by other applications. A sample Claris HyperCard stack is included which works as a timed slide-show controller (HyperCard sold separately; version 2.1 required).
    - TrueType font support
    - Balloon Help now complements Claris HyperHelp.
    - Tile and select windows functions easily with the Windows menu.
    - Select objects by color (or other fill).

    Extensive color support
    - Takes full advantage of 32-bit color QuickDraw, displaying up to millions of colors.
    - Automatic color approximation (dithering) allows users to display more than 2,000 approximated colors on a 256 color (8-bit) card.
    - Multiple palettes open simultaneously to enable users to easily create blends or group complementary colors
    - Ideally suited for mixed color and monochrome environments with features like "named colors," which allow users to easily elect colors, even on monochrome monitors.

    File Exchange Capabilities

    - Superscript and subscript allow users to create scientific notations and add common symbols to text.
    - Polygon and new bezigon tool allow users to create and edit curves easily without bezier tangency controls, and access full bezier curvature when needed.
    - Three editable gradient types offer professional shading effects to add depth and highlights to graphics. Up to four colors can be chosen for each gradient.

    - Text and graphics can be precisely rescaled by percentage to fit an area.
    - Full featured palette control with floating or "tear-off" palettes and a Finder-like interface for quick palette creation.
    - Options available for more precise positioning of objects while drawing include the ability to zoom while drawing; duplicate while dragging; activate or deactivate grid snap while drawing; and edit points while drawing polygon and bezigon objects.
    - Precision zooming from three to 3,200 percent, in 1 percent increments, allows users to maximize screen space.
    - Keyboard shortcut support for quicker navigation through dialog boxes.
    - Library feature allows addition or removal of named objects directly in library window for simple maintenance.

    Built-in Slide Presentation Functionality
