TOPIC This article provides troubleshooting tips for common questions asked after installation. DISCUSSION You can't start up or restart the computer, or when you do you see a bomb message. You probably have an incompatible item in the System Folder. For troubleshooting tips, see: Article 30929: " Mac OS: Extensions Troubleshooting/Extensions Manager Features. " If you still cannot resolve the problem, you may need to reinstall using the "clean install" method. For more information, see: Article 60496: " Mac OS 9: Performing a Clean Installation. " Application programs stop responding, or require you to restart the computer. You may have an incompatible item in the System Folder. You may also need to contact the program's manufacturer to determine if it is compatible with this version of the Mac OS. |
